On a tip from my sister, Sorellina !!!

On a tip from my sister, I checked out a new restaurant this weekend. Well, new for me at least. Sorellina, which is located at 1 Huntington Avenue in the Back Bay. (The Retail space in luxury condo building – Trinity Place) “Sorellina, the “kid sister” of acclaimed Chef Jamie Mammano’s Mistral provides an intense look at regional Italian food with a modern twist.” Both the atmosphere and the food were amazing. Although the menu is a bit pricey ($35-$42 an entree) it is well worth it for the special occasion dining experience. Make sure to try the meatballs, which are made with American Kobe beef, Barolo Sauce and Parmigiano and the Truffled Fries with Parmigiano. In addition, I managed to put down the Filet Mignon as my entrée, which was one of the best steaks I’ve had in awhile. So, if you’re looking for a great spot to take a date around the holidays, I highly recommend swinging by Sorelinas! – Jesse Carlton

I’m sure you know by now…I am an animal lover. Even more so a dog lover, so when I hear about a great event happening around Boston to benefit animals, I’m excited to tell you all about it. Not all dogs are as fortunate as mine (see above) to be able to go to work with me, attend meetings, live the life of pug luxury. Some dogs (and cats) need love and need a home. That is where MSPCA-Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center steps in and helps our four-legged furry friends out. Hosted by stylists from Dellaria Salons and members of the New England Patriots Cheerleading squad, Paw Wash will take place this Sunday, August 23rd at the MSPCA-Angell Headquarters to benefit the MSPCA- Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center. I’m sure your dog is in need of a good scrub from these horribly horrendously hot dog days of summer, so bring that dirty dog over to Paw Wash and help animals at the same time! Boston Restaurant Week is now in full effect. Have you ventured out to try some fabulous Boston restaurants? The GREAT part about Boston restaurant week is that it allows you to try various Boston restaurants that you never would normally go to because, let’s face it, we can’t all afford five star restaurants everyday…as much as we would like to Officially, Boston Restaurant Week kicked off this past Sunday August 9th and continues thru this Friday August…only to pick up again on Sunday August 16th and finally ending Friday August 21st. You know what that means? Plenty of time to get out there and eat some yummy food at Boston restaurants and just a fraction of the cost to what it normally is for a delicious dining experience. Whether you go for lunch for for dinner, Boston Restaurant Week participating restaurants have a three-course Prix-fixe menu for you. Lunches are priced at $20.09 and dinners are priced at $33.09 for all participating Boston Restaurant Week establishments. This year there are over 200 Boston restaurants participating in Boston Restaurant Week so that means more selection & more great goodies! There just are not that many foreclosures going on in downtown Boston (a sprinkling if any). B.
