Peter Wolf sits in his Back Bay condo chatting it up with The Herald’s Jim Sullivan for an interview. He’s dressed in all black as usual, surrounded by a treasure trove of CD’s, LP’s, and books. You remember Peter Wolf, frontman for Boston’s own J. Geils Band? Well now he’s working on his own album, “Midnight Souvenirs,” the sixth installment in the Boston-legends post-J. Geils career, an album over four years in the making.
Wolf is 64 years old and still going strong, performing, both solo and with J. Geils, and producing new albums. Look for his album, “Midnight Souvenirs,” later this summer, and in the meantime check him out performing the single, “Tragedy,” off of his new album on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. You can also look forward to seeing J. Geils open for Aerosmith at Fenway Park in August, which Sullivan reports as a very likely possibility.
