All that exciting weather change business aside, it’s Friday and you know what that means…at 5pm today (for most of you) the weekend has arrived. What are your plans for this chilly September weekend in Boston? If you’re a fan of beer and if you’re a fan of Samuel Adams beer for that matter, you will probably really enjoy the Beer Summit this weekend located at the Park Plaza Castle. Taking place tonight and tomorrow, the Sam Adams Octoberfest will feature over 15 different kinds of Sam Adams beer, traditional German music, live bands, and of course tons of fun. Do it doggy style this weekend in Boston Common for the annual MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals. Animal lovers (and animals) all gather in this statewide walking event to promote kindness and care for animals. They are trying to reach a statewide goal of $300,000 that will benefit the many thousands of animals that the MSPCA-Angell cares for every year. The MSCPA-Angell Walk for Animals will take place this Sunday, September 13th from 11am-2pm in Boston Common. Registration is $25 that includes a Walk for Animals t-shirt! Embrace your inner artist…or just look at some pretty rad stuff this weekend at the Boston Arts Festival featuring the best of the Boston Arts Scene. In what once started as an afternoon event that has grown into a three day festival, the Boston Arts Festival at Columbus Park in the North End should be a nonstop entertaining event fun for the whole family. Including both visual and performing arts in Boston, the Boston Arts Festival features over 60 artists from Boston and a performance program on two stages showcasing Boston’s best performing arts groups & performers.
