Condo Auctions – What are they really like?
If you have never been to a condo auction maybe these two “behind the scenes” videos will give you an idea of what its like. Both of these condo auction videos were taken by me (even though we got in a bit of trouble for doing so).
The Longwood Towers Condo Auction (Brookline, MA)
The 1850 Condo Auction (Boston, MA)
Both of these auctions were put on by our friends at AMP, whom is the exact same company that will be hosting the Nouvelle condo auction next month!

I was at the Longwood Towers auction. What a Dog and Pony show! They really work the crowd well and I am certain that people paid more than they would have using the traditional marketing methods. I would never buy at an auction.
By the way. I am a real estate agent.
Thank you.
Howard I am surprised you would have such an open ended comment like this, especially being a real estate agent. So you think the buyers who paid $1M for the $2M penthouses got a bad deal? 50%?
If you haven’t seen the results of the Longwood auction – we published them here: http://www.bostoncondoloft.com/longwood-towers-auction-results-are-in/
