So, I was walking the waterfront this weekend when I decided to sneak inside to warm up. I was going to cut through the InterContinental lobby at 500 Atlantic Avenue to shorten my walk home but ended up stumbling into a few hidden gems.
The lobby restaurants and bars were hopping. I sat down at the Rumba Bar and start my own personal rum tasting with the bartender. “RumBa pays tribute to the legends and lore of the historic rum trade period in a sophisticated rum-themed cocktail bar serving an international collection of distilled rums, deliciously bold appetizers, and hip-moving mixes of Latin and Caribbean music. Also they have a private Champagne Bar, discreetly hidden behind sliding mahogany doors, that serves selections of bubbly in an atmosphere inspired by the Moulin Rouge.”
There was also a great sushi restaurant (Sushi-Teq) right next store. Although I didn’t end up trying any, the plates that I saw coming out looked delicious. “Sushi-Teq takes cultural fusion up a notch by combining a sushi bar and a margarita bar in a high-energy atmosphere.”
With great food, drinks and a fun atmosphere right in your lobby, the Residences at the Intercontinental would be a fabulous place to call home.
