Industrie Lofts in Chelsea is a new loft development located at 950 Broadway in
Chelsea, MA. Seems like a lot is going on in Chelsea lately….just this weekend we put a post up on the all new Forbes Park Lofts which are over in Chelsea on the water.

Industrie Lofts is a 3 story, 36 unit loft building.

Price: $200K - $350K

Industrie Lofts is Boston’s next generation green loft development. These units are the future of loft living with design and construction by Mario Marchio and Leo Schiavuzzo of Domani Design + Architecture (ITALY-USA).

There is no other project that exists in Boston today that can even compare at this price point!

Units include: indoor parking, 20 ft ceilings, spa baths with steam showers, custom domani lacquer cabinets, granite, stainless steel, water stained concrete floors, huge glass, private balconies.

On-site amenities include: An Italian cafe with artist lounge, dry cleaning pick-up/drop-off service, UPS shipping store, possibly a Yoga studia, and carshare car. There is also a 3000sf common roof deck with Boston views.

Industrie Lofts are located minutes from airport, downtown, and public transportation. Units range in size from 950sf to 1600sf with pricing from $215k to $340k. This is truly one of a kind and will not last at these prices.

Toured the Industry Lofts during the Chelsea Art Walk. I liked some of the spaces, corner ones, but whoever picked out the cheap Ikea Red, Black and Blue plastic cabinets needs to rethink them. At $295K or more for some of those units I would expect much nicer quality cabinetry. In addition, couldn’t they have splurged a little for a counter depth refrigerator? The refrigerator is so huge it overwhelms everything else.

The bathroom sizes are terrific, but with all that space you would have thought they could’ve put in an oversize tub. Instead they put in standard size tubs that seem dwarfed by the size of the room. In addition, the plastic spacepod shower looks cheap and is scary. If I were in the market (and you never know, I’ve been looking), I would have them immediately rip out all the finishes and put in better quality stuff.

The place has potential to wow but the units really feel like they ran out of money and put in what they could afford to get them useable and on the market.
