Yes that is right..a riot is going to take place in the South End next weekend. A Wine Riot that is.
Taking place April 17th and 18th at Cyclorama in the South End, Wine Riot will feature over 250 baller wines from all over the globe in a fun & relaxed atmosphere. In the words of the invitation, this will be a “snob free environment” and will be quite different from any wine tastings or wine expos that you may have attended in the past.
Time to get your wine drink on and learn a little something along the way! Wine Riot is hosted by The Second Glass, a print and online wine magazine striving to demystify the world of wine and help everyone from the occasional drinker to the everyday buyer further explore the world of wine. Their belief is that good wine, like good food is available to everyone! Pretty sweet huh?
There will be a variety of events and activities at this kick ass expo-style wine event in Boston’s South End. Highlights at Wine Riot will include crash course seminars, tasty food parings, twitter tastings (should be awesome & interesting to say the least!), photo booth, dj and a special seminar VIP night on organic and biodynamic farming.
The crash courses at Wine Riot will be free throughout the different sessions (one on the 17th and two on the 18th) where guests will obtain in-depth knowledge about specific grapes, regions, emerging trends, as well as complimentary guided tastings.
Bottom line: Wine Riot is affordable, fun, and not only can you get to taste & eat some awesome stuff, but you can learn a lot along the way. Event bust out the running man by the dj booth should you choose to get your groove on.
