Serenity – Abaco Bahamas Private Luxury Estate (Hopetown)

The word Serenity means: calmness of mind; evenness of temper; undisturbed state; peace.

This word embodies my experience at Hope Town, a small town in the Bahamas Abaco Islands. Serenity is not only the way I felt when I got off the ferry in Hopetown, but also the name of the home I stayed while there. This house was BREATHTAKING! Set on the private White Sound waterway, your stress and worries are swept away the moment you step on the property.

There is more than just sleeping, fishing, sunbathing, and forgetting all your worries. Hopetown hosts some superb restaurants and bars and the restaurants serve some of the freshest fish in the entire Caribbean.

One of my favorite places to go during the day is the Abaco Inn. The view of the Atlantic Ocean is breathtaking and probably the best place to see the sunset over the Sea of Abaco. With great island food and local made beer you can’t go wrong. Just in case that is not enough, wait until you meet the staff. They are fun, attentive, polite and knowledgeable. Check out Abaco Inn for more details.

If you want five star service and atmosphere look no further than the Hope Town Harbour Lodge. The restaurateurs are life-long locals who love to cater to your ever need. The menu is bountiful and the food is AMAZING. Check it out here for the full menu and information on the site.

As for the bars, the music is laid back and the liquor flows all night. Hit up Cracker P’s if you want to unwind and enjoy the island as if you were a local. Most patrons show up in their golf carts after a full dinner. They dance the night away and sing along with some old friends…and make new ones!

Hopetown is a special place and Serenity is the perfect retreat to stay while you enjoy it.

Serenity is currently on the market for sale. For more information visit our exclusive listing post here.
